Social Media Evolved

The evolution of Social Media.  I know this has some similar facts as earlier posts, but a lot more focused on social media.  What does this mean for new technology in things such as video games, cell phones, and transportation?

Bluetooth for more than disrupting people in a resturant?

We have all seen that person who is in the middle of a crowded restaurant talking to to their bluetooth in such an awkward way, I married him :) This video from 2008 talks about a use of bluetooth, to communicate key medical information in a way that could deliver better medical care.   Has anyone seen this used in their line of work? Do you think this is necessary for the advancement of medical communication?

Smart Highways??? What's Next?

Seattle has recently launched their first smart highway system that uses sensors to actively manage the speed limit and alert drivers of upcoming traffic congestion.  This has allowed them to significantly reduce accidents and congestion while not investing in completely new infrastructure.  What are some other things in society which could be used for improvements without radically changing how they work?

Evolving... Who would have thought

I posted a video I found on the evolution of computers.  I asked my husband what he thought of this video and his answer was " it brings back memories of my first computer.  The 1991 Macintosh Performa 600 with the latest bells and whistles including a 32 MHz processor, 4 MB of Ram, a 4x CD-Rom drive, and an 80 MB hard drive." (he's just a little bit of a nerd) :) This had us talking about how this new technology would be used in business and in nursing.  What are you thoughts, and do you see some new changes that wasn't mentioned in the video?
