Welcome Class,
I have created this blog as another way for me to share information in a much more informal way. Please check weekly for new updates. I also encourage you to comment and add information to be shared with the class. Imagine this blog as you favorite coffee shop where we can meet and discuss the events of the day. :)
The class, as you know, is focused on the integration of technology into our society. I look at this integration of technology as a shift that is changing the ways we interact in the world. This blog will bring anything related to the integration of technology or the effect of technology to a format where can openly discuss and critique. Topics such as health care, globalization, economics, marketing, and many others are open to be discussed.
Once again, welcome to the class and check in and post often. I look forward to sharing with all of you.

Emily,
ReplyDeleteI found the 2 videos entertaining and informative. It is amazing the volume of information we have available to us each day. Some of the numbers changed but I notice we expect to have a computer that exceeds the computation of a human brain by next year. I am older and I think of "B" grade movies and also the movie "2012", "Dave, I am sorry but I cannot do that." We almost need to have direction at birth so that we can filter the information.
Hi Gail! I like your picture and it is so neat to actually get to visualize you. I so enjoyed your video (viewed the first one). I had not a clue about China and the details given. It amazes me regarding the intelligence of the children, their growing ability to speak the English language and even more! Do you have a personal opinion as to why this is true?
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
Teddie
